Day 2 @ Bangkok 19 Sep 09

Tried to wake up early for the breakfast at the hotel and the next thing we did was to start our shopping spree.. :P

First stop was Central World (used to be World Trade Center). Before we reached, saw some Buddha outside, so do my praying first, hoping the trip to be save and smooth. After the praying, we entered Central World, and went directly to Naraya. Oh dear, there were so many things and I knew I can get a lot of pouches, bags and gifts for friends. This was bad, cos I bought a lot of things and end up with a very big bag. (so heavy) Wrong strategy, should put this as the last stop.
I was excited of the small boutiques when I visited their website. However, discovered that the small boutiques' clothes were so pricey.. So we proceed to Siam Paragon, Siam Discovery Center. Main objective to go to Siam Discovery Center was to find this shop - The Loft. Heard from Tracy that there were a lot things in this shop. True enough, we spent quite some time in this shop (very big). I like this shop for the variety of things in it.. Cool! Spent a lot again in this shop and this time, I really could not manage my shopping bags liao. Told Cheryl if we could have our lunch and go back to hotel to put our things... The lunch was not fantastic cos we chose the wrong restaurant.. haha..
This is my Fried Seafood Noodle. Looks like fried Maggi mee right?
Didn't know that it was raining outside.. The whole road was flooded. As I could not drag on, really got to go back to hotel. Sorry to Cheryl cos she could move on, but cos of me, we got to waste time to go back to hotel. Worse, no taxi as it was flooded and jammed out there. We got to walk back.. The walking back journey was 'exciting' and dirty.. haha. Exciting, meaning we got to avoid the water. Trying our best but too bad, we couldn't. Once the vehicles moved, the water would flow up to the pedestrain walkway...
Think I'm mad right? Cos no use avoiding liao, our feet were wet...

Finally got to the hotel, we put our things down and was very tired... But still, we moved on. Took a cab to MBK. This mall was really disappointing. Can skip this mall the next time if go Bangkok. Then Cheryl recommended a place, just next to MBK (there is a small link bridge). There are a lot of small shops like Bugis Village shops. We bought quite a few pieces of clothes there.. At least worth our effort to get to MBK. haha.. Tried to settle our dinner back at MBK cos later part of the night, we would be going to Suan Lum Night Market. This time round, the dinner sucks.. my tom yum noodle is really sucks. But luckily we ordered chicken wings..

See, the yummy chicken wings & the nice Thai sauce..

Right after dinner, we took a cab to Suan Lum Night Market. There are many shops there, think is bigger than the last time I went. Really a lot of things to see.. We tried to walk as much as we could. Bought some clothes and a pair of slippers.. Then we past by this handy craft shop which caught my attention and I went mad again..

Look at the picture above.. the things are all very small .The one that caught my eyes was the pastries in the white shelving. I really liked that a lot. But the price was about $110. Hai~ cannot buy lei.. so ex. But the handy craft were exquisite. If you see the picture, there is a shelving of cookies/buscuits in containers (the old style kind) which is also very cute too. In the end, I bought something from this shop..

Look at this cake.. It is very cute right? Look very tasty esp the fruits on top. Then I bought this transparent glass cake display.. These 2 pcs cost me S$10.

Every night when we got back to hotel, we would try on our buys.. haha.. every piece.. Both of us were trying our pink tees, so took a picture again.. haha.. (First night was Sailor dress)

These were my spree from The Loft. There were a lot of things to buy, but of course I never anyhow grab lah...

These were my spree from Naraya.. hee hee..

Spent a lot on Day 2.. still got Day 3 to go lei.. To Chatchuchak market..
